02 Jan 2007 12:11If I recall, the article in the programme was about new match day bus services from Winners, 'Nell, 'Nham, and Yatters. £5 return for grown ups.cheeryoleary wrote:Can't find anything on the OS. Spotted something in the programme yesterday. Anyone got the scoop?
Beats catching the train, then having to mess around with the 79 bus.
Cheers then

Yep Rifle stop for me too.Huntley & Palmer wrote:The one outside the Rifle could be handy for if I'm in Wokkers of a match day. Just shows how much Reading Buses rip you off from the station in Reading to the ground though

Wonder where they will depart from for the return journey?
Can you ask the landlord of the Rifle to phone the landlord of the Pheasant and tell him that the bus is on its way and therefore drinky up time?amdocsroyal wrote:Yep Rifle stop for me too.Huntley & Palmer wrote:The one outside the Rifle could be handy for if I'm in Wokkers of a match day. It wont be full of pretties if H&P is on board.Rhys The Royal wrote:How many buses will run on each route though? It sounds like only one and that would be pretty full.
Good bloody question! How come it is the same price for a return ticket from Basingstoke as it is Lower Earley?
The answer will be that the cost of the run is very similar, possibly an hour extra for the driver, and a couple of gallons of diesel.biscuitman wrote:Good bloody question! How come it is the same price for a return ticket from Basingstoke as it is Lower Earley?
This reason why Reading Buses put the fares up last year was because the fuel prices went up and now there charging the same from a suburb of Reading as to a shithole in a different county! Work that one out!
I'm worried about this too.... Also, how do I identify the bus (number?).Rhys The Royal wrote:How many buses will run on each route though? It sounds like only one and that would be pretty full.
