No mention on here about the silly stewards who at the end of the game prevented Stephen Hunt throwing his shirt into the fans.

they stopped marcus too at one point but he got around them

couldnt believe that they shopped hunt throwing his shirt in the crowd - what is the point???? its not as if its going to hurt anyone???

Quite. Especially as the behaviour of Reading supporters away from home is always exemplary. There was hardly going to be a pitch invasion such as we saw from Chelsea morons back in October.

FFS Compared to our stewards they were tolorent, polite and showed yet another example of how stewards can work in harmony with fans that stand.

I've never seen so many stewards at a game, there must of been close to 100 just in the away end.

Interestingly, in the upper section they were very quick to make people sit down who stood for even the briefest time.

However.....just to either side of the netting in the back row of the home fans were a number of people standing and being allowed to.

More split policy it would seem.

For those of you who were at Bramall lane this season,USA was likewise prohibited frpm throwing his shirt. These were the same people (SUFC} who when coins and bottles wre chucked us last season forced myself and wife and kids back into the line of fire . 'Bout time some of these idiots wre brought into line by the FA methinks.

I thought the stewards and police did well. Could of been a few 'flash points' throughout the game with the City fans to our right but the stewards and police did well. Both inside and outside they were friendly and helpful.

I'd like to counter that argument. I thought the stewarding and policing at Citeh was at best heavy handed. There were three or four supporters around me that had to endure constant swearing/signalling and abuse from the Citeh fans to the left of our contingent. Yes, I appreciate the fact that people should not rise to this but it was only addressed in a minority by the staff their side of the netting.

The police and stewards in our end were very heavy handed and some heated discussions were had, with the Reading fan in question clearly pointing out the culprits from the home fans. He was allowed to remain in his seat but was clearly told that he would be thrown out, I didn't see any monologue with the accused in the home end. On my travels this season, Citeh fans have been the worst example of posturing oxf*rd I have seen in the ground.

On the lower level to our right were a few jumped up City chavs who were trying their luck. (Tw@ts with the balloons for those that were there) all being
caught by Old Bill on video

They were only seperated from us by netting over three seats and a few seated stewards

However the stewards had words and they soon shut up.

Mind you didnt stop them giving it the slit throats signs to Royal fans as they left.
