ok so sweet caroline didnt really catch on did it? why dont we sing "i cant help falling in love with you" by elvis. It would sound awseme! It works really well. Look at the Swansea fans singing it at Sheff u away in the FA cup.

I normally laugh off song suggestions but i'd love it if that were our anthem. Much prefered the UB40 version though, any chance of some regae beats bein played over the tannoy to help us out?!

eurgh! not this topic again, whatever anyone suggests never gets played and even if it does it never catches on. Sweet Caroline may have or might still make it if the club persist with it.

Alternatively until the 'terraces' start picking up on something like the Stoke fans did with Delilah there'll be onl;y what the club think is a good idea.

So if you want a particular song get together with a few mates and keep persisting with it until it spreads.

I always thought adapting some sort of "Royal" anthem for our own needs would be an interesting idea. I have no idea how to do go about doing so, but that's hardly the point to these threads is it

I tried to start this song in the North East at a few consecutive games about 4 years ago, but it didn't cotton on and IRRC had chants of 'you what' directed at me.

If you start it North Stander I'll join in. (Although I don't sit in the North East anymore).

Sweet Caroline was better but whenever a new song is suggested everyone just complains. When Man utd came in the cup it really hit it home how boring and unimaginative are songs are. I long for a bit of variation!
