Late Parking

Due to the kids commitments on Sat morning (wish wife would check diary before signing them up to these things) we will not get to the ground until 2:30-2:45 this Saturday. Will any of the car parks still have spaces? e.g. the Terranova (sp? - the crane place), and did the HP/ compaq fill on Monday. I assume it will be to late for the park-and-ride.
To make matters worse I need a quick get-away
Any other (parking) suggestions welcome.

Get the wife to drop you at the MadStad and pick you up afterwards. Only fair if it's her who's got you into this situation.

I suspect that if there areplace where you can roll up at 2.45 and then get a quick get away (and not get a parking ticket) people would already be using them !

Depending on where you live how about a taxi to the ground and then get the wife to pick you up from a nearby location after the game ?

Dog Track is likely to be full. Not sure for the HP carpark, but probably your best bet to get out quickly..

Either that or take a chance in the B&Q carpark, or get yourself membership at costco..

Park & ride would've stopped by 2.35- 2.40

- Or park up on a side road somewhere.

No such thing as a quick gettaway from the Madstad unless you leave 10 mins early!

HP was not full on Monday, but don't know whether this was because of not many people knowing about it reopening again (maybe full this weekend?)

Depending on what direction you're going from, you could park south of the m'way somewhere and jog/walk to the ground. I've done it when traffic horrendous and still got to game in time despite parking up at 2:45.

DG & B - SWL = South West London, so I'm an hour away -expensive taxi ride! Suppose I could park-up in the town centre and grab a cab from the station - not sure it helps the quick get away?

Think I will take the gamble on Terranova/ HP.

You can actually park at the station though can't you? So you could just get a bus after the game back down there.

Stick a bike in the back of the car, park a couple of miles away and cycle to the ground.

Saves on parking fees, guaranteed quick get away and nice little bit of exercise.
