9 year old kid: No
DJ : Are you going to buy one later?
9 year old kid : No.
DJ : Are you going to make one?
9 year old kid : No.
DJ : That's terrible. You really ought to sit down later and make something.
Kid's mother (interrupting) : I'm a single mum!

Got to still have a Dad tho, unless the kid was the second coming of course....

She probably meant that "dad" didn't want to know, or "dad" left her when she was pregnant.

This could open a huge debate (you made a big assumption that it was the Dad who instigated the split), but its Sunday morning and I really ant be @rsed. I'll just enjoy Fathers day with my two wonderful boys.
