Who will win the Premiership 2007/8?

I suppose if the odds were all equal I would probably go for Man Utd but I think Arsenal represent the value on offer.

Last year they were suffering a little from the new stadium syndrome, they lost Henry and Van Persie for long periods, yet still remained unbeaten against the top 3 all season (so I am told?).

If they can get consistency and some of the other members of the team to take a bit more responsibility for scoring goals now that Henry has gone (i.e. for God's sake SHOOT!!) then I can see them stringing together a great run and doing better than the commonly predicted 4th place.

Could be very close between United, Chelsea and Liverpool. All three have made decent signings and it'll be interesting to see how all of Liverpool's new signings work out, not just Torres. Malouda is looking class and we all know about United's signings.

Arsenal have no chance in hell though - maybe in a year or two the young guns (ha) will have improved further and gelled, but they're light years behind the other three (United and Chelsea in particular) as a team and it wouldn't surprise me if Newcastle and Spurs ran them very close for the Champions League this season.

Chelsea will run them close, with S Sidwell playing a decent role in the season.
Liverpool.

I think it's got to be Manchester Utd - they have significantly improved last year's outstanding team, whilst the others have more or less stood still. Yes, they've made signings, but no really significant ones.

Has to be United. Best team by a long way last season, and they have improved more than any other.

Liverpool's signings are exciting. IF Torres, Babel and Benayoun produce excellent seasons (the first two are without doubt world-class players) then Liverpool will challenge at the top.

Chelsea have made a class signing in Pizarro, and I don't expect Shevchenko to play much of a role, and the Blues will of course be up there.

Arsenal - who knows? They may gel and challenge at the top, they may fall apart.

West Ham will finish top 8 imho, and I think Fulham will improve significantly.

It's probably going to be United, but I think Chelsea are like a wounded animal after last season and will run them very, very close... possibly even pipping them.

Chelsea will be the most settled side. I think they'll toughen up after last year. If Arsenal's game against Salzburg is any indication, they'll struggle to make top six let alone top four.

Man utd. Might not like them but at least I can respect them.

Liverpool are unlikely to have caught up enough. Chelsea will be close, but I think Man Utd have the mental power to stay the distance better, Arsenal are still in transition after the stadium, Spurs don't have good enough defenders but will probably make top 4 in place of arsenal.

Babel is not a world class player. Just like Nani isn't world class. They might go on to be but to label Babel world class at this moment in time is madness and sums up the ridiculous hype around Liverpool's players.

2. Chelsea - Grind out results and will push United fairly close
3. Arsenal - Expect them to do very well with no pressure
4. Liverpool - Pressure will be on and they'll bottle it by October as usual

We define world class differently. Both Babel and Nani would be in the sides of the vast majority of the biggest European clubs, imho, based on what I have seen of them. Doesn't make me right, just my opinion.

DonÂ´t see the top 4 looking much differently to how it finished 2006/2007 but can see Arsenal finsihed in front of Liverpool. ThatÂ´s all.

If Cech and Terry stay fit, Chelsea for me. (Though they rely massively on Drogba for goals).

But this season is shaping up to be the best for a while as both Man U and Chelsea will be very close in terms of quality.

As for the others, 3rd, 4th and 5th will of course be Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs.

After that, its (as our American cousins say) a crap shoot; anything can happen.
