I took the A33 after the match, turned toward the motorway and saw two police cars either end of a car I assumed had been pulled over.

The roads around the ground are just utterly stupid. The pavements are nowhere near wide enough to accomodate the numbers of people walking down there.

I've said many times that the A33 should be closed between the B&Q roundabout to the Compaq roundabout for 20 mins after the game (and that includes closing exits from the retail park, Acre Road and Bennet Road) and the whole road used to allow pedestrians to leave the stadium environs.

My sister and I were there and helped out with the aftermath - we didn't see the incident itself. Sis is a trained first aider and took charge of the the situation. She looked after the woman (who was in shock) and kept her warm and as comfortable as possible until the paramedics appeared then assisted until the point when the ambulance turned up and the woman was stretchered off. Looks like the woman just suffered severe bruising to her hip and arm - leastways, the paramedics didn't seem too concerned. Main thing was to keep her warm and dry (it started raining before the professionals got there) - luckily someone volunteered a blanket to cover her with.
For my part I directed pedestrians and flagged down a Police armed response unit that happened to be passing!
As soon as she went off in the ambulance we continued on our journey home. Luckily by that time we did not have to queue to get out of the HP car park.

I was talking to my mate on the phone, I was directly next to it & watched the whole thing. WHen she hit the car, my mate asked what the thud was in the background.

Saw the aftermath of this and legged it, not that I was scared, just thought I would take advantage of the road been shut so I could get on the M4 quicker. Hope you are OK whoever you are and could you do the same next week as I got home in record time.
