In the prersent situation, we don't have terraces in the top two tiers of English football. We can only stand at our seats.Baines wrote:Perhaps the question could be better phrased:

Sorry, I should have phrased it better..AF1 wrote:Baines wrote:Perhaps the question could be better phrased:

'greed
Shirley that's what the thread starter meant and that's how people should respond.
For the Record, I'm opting for C - standing with the occasional wobble, due to 8 pre game pints.
We can inded conclude that. All the evidence shows that these reductions are utterly ineffective - and that the threat of them may, in fact, encourage standing.Jerry St Clair wrote:I noticed that Man United fans were being given leaflets on entering the ground yesterday. Presumably they were advising United fans that they should sit down otherwise they face a reduction in their allocation for future games. Would this be the same leaflet that has been given to them on their previous two visits? The two previous visits when the entire United support stood for the whole game?
Can we therefore conclude that threats to reduce away fan allocations are complete bollocks?
Yes, we'd get away with it if 2000 people stood.Y21_Royal wrote:Its a disgrace that Utd fans are allowed to stand for the whole game. Could you imagine us getting away with it anywhere? Its gutless from the club, pure and simple. You cannot have one rule for one and another for 2,000 others.
Plus of course, home fans have something to lose - being allowed back in for the next match. For away fans, there's hardly any comeback on what they do at away matches. There's no system of reciprical bans or anything like that.Jerry St Clair wrote:Yes, we'd get away with it if 2000 people stood.Y21_Royal wrote:Its a disgrace that Utd fans are allowed to stand for the whole game. Sadly, only a few do, hence they are easily picked out and ejected.
