If ST prices remain as they are, it will be more expensive to watch Colchester next season in League 1 than it will be with Reading in the Premiership.

Though they do have a new ground to pay for TBF. I can't see any reason for the club to offer an early renewal discount, we have our full quota of ST holders and a reserve list. If relegation looks on the card in a couple of games time then you may see something along a 'buy at this season's price and get a discount if we get promoted straight back to the Prem' or something

I thought the East Stand was season ticket holders only?

I reckon that having witnessed a pretty poor season and a struggle against relegation, there will be a fair number of season ticket holders who decide not to renew on the promise of investment in the squad, fearing instead another fight for survival.

There are a few single seats available in all the stands but nevertheless I understand that the full quota of season tickets has been sold as that is a fixed percentage of seats available rather than certain stands.

Where I sit in the North the two STH's either side of us (i.e. 4 in total) who have already decided not to renew. Two are plastiches, and two struggle to get to the games due to work. I think there will be a lot of that going on whether we stay up or not, and the club are being very mindful of it, or should be. Obviously no pricing will be announced until Prem survival assured.

Especially when you factor in the travel costs from Reading to Colchester.

When I bought a ticket for my mate from the ticket office the other day I asked about a season ticket price for next year, they told me that the club were waiting to be sure of which divison they would be in next year (no surprises there) but that they were not expecting an increase...if anything they may go down slightly

I'm predicting another price freeze.......followed by a massive hike next season 'to pay for the building work' (after another season on no transfer market activity and £60 million Sky jackpot)

REnewal is 50 / 50 at the moment. Whether or not De La Cruz plays against Spurs could be the clincher

I reckon

If we stay up - ST's will increase and be justified by the huge investent thats required in the squad (although we will only sign 1 player from the second tier of football for about £300K and claim it shows our ambition as a club.)

If we go down - ST's will stay the same and be justified for the increase in players wages since promotion and the fact that there are more fixtures in the Championship, so infact we are paying the same price, but seeing more games for our money - BARGAIN!
