Why complain about double standards? Just complain about the policy. Why the hell should we not take pix? I do at many games and they become my screensaver. I am certainly not going to pay the extortionate prices asked by the club 'gallery' even if I didn't take pix. So no loss of income to RFC. On the other hands a loss of goodwill if they stop paying customers taking a souvenir.

If they don't like doing it, perhaps they should get a job directing people to discounted golf equipment or selling perfume in club toilets instead?

Of course stewards enjoy telling you what to do, that's why they've taken the job. They are akin to traffic wardens. Probably bullied as young kids and now taking it out on unsuspecting people.

Winchester, did you take a photo of the bloke with the camera round his neck? I would definitely ask the club why this bloke was treated so differently to you though.

I agree with you Bobby. My 5 year old son tried to stand on his seat because he could not see anything going on as people were standing up in front of him. He ended up with his foot caught in the gap at the back of the seat and it was a painful moment.
I fully understand why people stand and do so myself but there are reasons why we are not allowed to ie, the little uns and disabled who want to see whats going on as well.

That is why we need separate standing and seating areas.

RL, I couldn't take a picture of them as I didn't have my camera on me. This is in case I hit somebody with it. Which is apparently why I couldn't take it in.

Whereas the majority of away fans at the Madejski seem to stand all game. It is purely the overzealous, jobsworth stewards who are making a mountain out of a molehill in my humble opinion.

It's going off topic slightly but with regards to the jobsworths forever telling us to sit down, stand up and start singing and those around you will do the same. Now let them try and tell anyone to sit back down.

As soon as they look like they're about to approach anyone, do it, stand up and sing. They can't say a thing in that instance!

With regards to the cameras, it has to be one rule for all and WR is well within his rights to grumble.

Agreed and I stand at those intense moments myself....but everyone wants to see the action during those few seconds and thats where the problem lies.
If there were separate seating sections for adults only with standing allowed it might alleviate the problem.
