Villa have rejected shirt sponsorship and instead will be promoting the Acorns Children's Hospice on their shirts next season.

The idea came from their owner following a visit (at around Christmas time I believe). The players have also been actively supporting the charity which provides breaks for children with long term care needs as well as caring for the terminally ill kids at their three centres in The Midlands.

They have been showing the shirt launch on local TV all day. They are promoting it as having rejected millions for shirt sponsorship and instead wearing the Acorns Hospice logo.

LOL. Villa only did the charity deal because they couldn't get enough money from a sponsor. They set the minimum price they would accept from a commerical partner, no one met the amount, and because they are stubborn f*cks they said, "f*ck it, we'll give it to charity then".

Fair play to them for turning it into a great bit of PR though.
