IF they were the only English team playing then i would agree but how many times last season did you see Arsenal on ITV1 (apart from when they were playing Liverpool)?cmonurz wrote:So what? ITV get one CL league game live a week, don't they?
Having reached two finals and a semi in three years, is it at all possible that there have just been more Liverpool games to show?
You're missing my point.....I'm on about if Liverpool are playing the same night as Arsenal or Chelsea then ITV1 will show the Liverpool game.cmonurz wrote:I can't remember, how many times were Liverpool on? I don't remember that either.
As I said, it shouldn't be a surprise that Liverpool are on a lot, as they have progressed further overall in the CL over the last 4 seasons than the other English clubs. I dare say Arsenal were on a few times in 2006/07.
Cant be arsed to dig it out but lets just see this coming season!cmonurz wrote:Evidence?
When you dont have freeview, yes!papereyes wrote:With ITV1 and ITV4 both showing games ...

ITV have Tuesday games, Sky have WednesdayKingsley's Kousin wrote:Don't Sky get first choice or something? (Do they still screen CL??)
So, surely 0 if ITV screen Liverpool it's because they're not 'big' enough for SKY to want them!
(unless I'm wrong, in which case this post is utter shit)
But are the game-times not decided by TV schedulers (like the Prem on weekends) - or are the fixtures decided by UEFA, and then Sky just show their day, and ITV the other?TBM wrote:ITV have Tuesday games, Sky have WednesdayKingsley's Kousin wrote:Don't Sky get first choice or something? As far as I know, the game days are organised by FIFA but so that, for example, if there are four English clubs, it gets split 2 in one day and 2 the other. These alternate so there are 3 Tuesday and 3 Wednesday games for each team in the group stages. Sky get the Wednesday games but can show all 8 (?) fixtures. Terrestrial channels around Europe get the Tuesday, but are limited by the number of games they can show. ITV, for some reason, choose to show the English teams but there's nothing stopping them showing Scottish, Welsh or Belorussian teams, if they wanted to.Kingsley's Kousin wrote:But are the game-times not decided by TV schedulers (like the Prem on weekends) - or are the fixtures decided by UEFA, and then Sky just show their day, and ITV the other?TBM wrote:ITV have Tuesday games, Sky have WednesdayKingsley's Kousin wrote:Don't Sky get first choice or something?
