The problem with this statement is that it is against the law - and that is what you and the majority of others at the top of Y25 / Y26 don't seem to understand. Yes the stewards can be a bit overzealous but at the end of the day they are just doing their job. How they go about doing their job is possibly the only valid complaint you could make.madreadingfan wrote:but alot of us would prefer to stand and sing

You can stand and sing your heart out there if you want.......and for as long as you want.

I have sat in the general area of the Y25/26 and I've seen this lot. Persistent standing yes, and most of them are arms crossed and not singing during quieter moments. I shake my head at them.T.R.O.L.I. wrote:the majority of others at the top of Y25 / Y26 don't seem to understand.
but we can say the same about you, we dont really need a bunch of old farts eating their prawn sandwiches not supporting their team, but instead just moanThe 17 Bus wrote:Do we really need a bunch of kids singing and on their feet all game, the club dont seem to want them, perhaps it is time they grew up a touch.
As an aside if TROLI is standing he cannot be missed, so it seems that it is persistant standing that is taken to task, and rightly so.

madreadingfan wrote:i know everyone has complained about stewards but they have certainly got stricter this year, at half time me and some mates went down the stairs and the steward pulled us all over into this room and gave us a lecture about persistent standing and that we were all on camera, so he told us if he see's us standing again he will send us out, and they told the top 6 rows in y26 the same and seeming john madejski comes out saying he wants a better atmosphere how are we going to get a better atmosphere without being allowed to stand and sing? it is ridicolous, every team in the championship or premiership have a little stand or block where they can stand and sing, but no not for reading a drum only seems good enough for poor old readingit is a big joke if you want to stand up and sing all match and i know alot of you will complain in this thread by going just sit down and stuff but alot of us would prefer to stand and sing
