08 Oct 2008 13:50Indeed, but they both were still ineligible to play for their new clubs.Stranded wrote:Of course the fact that very different rules have been broken should just be ignored here...
Mansfield played a player still registered with another club and lost the points gained as a result.
Tevez was not registered to another club so it is a different kettle of fish.

08 Oct 2008 17:22Not true. Tevez was not inelligible to play. The issue was to do with breach of regulations over declaring ownership of the player. The fact Sheffield United have had their case upheld on appeal is an absolute disgrace.Thaumagurist* wrote:Indeed, but they both were still ineligible to play for their new clubs.Stranded wrote:Of course the fact that very different rules have been broken should just be ignored here...

09 Oct 2008 11:01That's an interesting one, I assume that the Premier League has this rule to ensure that the registered doctor can be trusted not to give any players any performance enhancing drugs. So when Wet Sham breaks this rule, can we assume that the unregistered doctor is giving illegal drugs to treat a player?OzBiscuit2004 wrote:West Ham have broken Premier League rules by allowing an unregistered doctor to treat their players. 09 Oct 2008 12:24No. It's probably nothing whatsoever to do with drugs.SpaceCruiser wrote:That's an interesting one, I assume that the Premier League has this rule to ensure that the registered doctor can be trusted not to give any players any performance enhancing drugs.
