It was very congested getting to the park and ride. It didn't help that the route from the M3 went past the park & ride on the wrong side of the dual carriageway with a U turn at a roundabout.
It cost to park (I thought it was free park AND ride).
The bus was free.
It was a long way to the ground taking almost 1/2 an hour in traffic past many Saints supporters parking on the roads and walking.
I got in the ground with 2 minutes to spare.
After the match we were lucky to get on the last bus as the people behind us in the queue has to wait a very long time in the rain for the buses to return and you have no other transport option.
Based on current form I assume that after this season we won't be playing Southampton again for more than 2 seasons
^ 'greed - and it's the right side of the station for the plethora of student-orientated (i.e. cheap) bars in Bedford Place / London Street. For a game when the students are at home on their holidays. SweetHuntley & Palmer wrote:Good job I'll be getting the free bus from the station with my stubs then
