08 Jan 2009 14:50from what i've seen of him both at Reading and Swindon he's not what we need. In the same vein that Nathan Tyson is good at the right level, the same applies for Cox and the Prem is too high for him!Captain Lager wrote:Skysports.com understands that Fulham and Bolton are set to battle it out for Swindon striker Simon Cox.
The 21-year-old is hot property after scoring 16 goals so far this season, and was named PFA Fans' League One Player of the Month for October.
That form has alerted both Roy Hodgson and Gary Megson, who are thought to be lining up bids in the region of £1million.
But they face competition from Championship side Sheffield United, who are hoping to beat West Ham and Fulham to the punch by preparing an immediate £750,000 offer.
Cox joined Swindon from home-town club Reading last January, and his 22 goals since then - including two hat-tricks - have alerted top clubs.
£1million beans, pretty affordable. Do you think he would consider coming back to us and would anyone want him back?

He was adjudged not to be ready for the Premier League last year, but wanted to play so we agreed to let him go. We wanted him to stay and if he had he'd have a decent chance of having been in the team now.SteveRoyal wrote:What the heck.
This should teach Coppell not to let our youngstars go too early.
He should have given Cox a chance.
On a brighter note - it should give our current youngstars motivation to perform!

General Football.
In that case, it should be in Unfounded Rumours and Gossip. And I'm not bullying you.Captain Lager wrote:Thaumagurist - I'm lazy and a n00b but the location of this thread is weakly supported by the fact that I've suggested Cox could return to Reading..... Stop the bullying.

You can't. You'll have to wait for a mod to move it.Captain Lager wrote:Got me by the jaffers - I do apologise. Don't know how to move it though.
That was his fault then....loyalroyal4life wrote:Cox should of stayed to allow long to go out on loan
