Well, you might remember I did a database that calculated the rankings of the most successful clubs in England (and Wales). This is the top 20 from it. Reading is not in it, unfortunately.

I did say that my table was based on success, not history. Reading haven't won enough to be anywhere near the top 20. I said unfortunately, because I obviously would like them to be there, not that I thought that they should be there.

-won a league cup (beat Leeds)
-Been in the FA Cup final and lost (to Chelsea)
-Finished as runners up twice and finished 4th once.

And in the last 20 years Newcastle have:

-been relegated to the old division 2 and spent 4 seasons in it.
- been in the FA Cup final twice and lost
- finished as runners up twice, 3rd twice and fourth once.

Villa also beat RFC 2-1 in the last game of the 70/71 season to relegate us to the 4th div for the first time ever, bitter, not me.

I n all honesty it is time one of the Brum clubs moved to a new stadium, I too am sure that Villa could pack it out each game. How about a ground share.
