i don't think it's such a stupid question. it's been asked here before, a couple of years back. i think it is important to ask yourself what would truly carry more resonance in the long run. i love reading, hugely, but to witness an england team winning the world cup would be monumental, and a once-in-a-lifetime (probably) experience. i have seen reading get promoted three times.

As much as I love Reading, the excitement of seeing England lift a World Cup beats promotion to the Premiership. Now, if it was Reading winning the Premiership, I would vote for that for sure.

I hate England football with a passion and never support them. Maybe I will one day when they actually have a team of players who want to play football more than they want their next pay cheque. They are the example of primadonas (sp?).

I've seen Reading promoted, and England win the World Cup. Couldn't care less about Liverpool though. Given the choice, if I had to, I'd like to see another World Cup win - but it is a close run thing.

i hate to say, and even more so hate to agree with af1, but i am. if there was ever a club more deserving of a premier league win, it is them.
