TBF Lucas wasn't even the worst player on the pitch last night once Voronin came onHuntley & Palmer wrote:That title is owned by Julian Dickswinchester_royal wrote:Lucas is probably the worst player ever to wear a liverpool shirt.
They'll come back stronger next season.readingbedding wrote:Different season, same LIverpool.
Nowhere near the title.

If that's near enough for you, good luck to you.southbank1871 wrote:readingbedding wrote:Different season, same LIverpool.

But they were near the title last season
But is quite often won by the Community Sheild winners(except Liverpool).Dirk Gently wrote:If they're not going to win it then, statistically, that hands the title to Man Utd again. The Premier league has never been won by a club that wasn't in the top two places the previous season.

You're quite right - I was wrong on this one.TheMaraudingDog wrote:01-02 United finished thirdDirk Gently wrote:If they're not going to win it then, statistically, that hands the title to Man Utd again. 02-03 United won it
Watched the game last night, Liverpool never got out of the blocks really. Lots of posession in and around the Villa 18 yard box but no penetration. Torres and Gerrard were off their game which meant they did not have much in the way of outlets goal wise. Villa defended well from their midfield back, they won the second ball and found lots of room in the middle of the pitch as Liverpool kept pushing forward. Their only real shots were some poor efforts from long range and the deflected goal from a free kick. Second half Liverpool came out the better side and deserved their goal around 70 minutes, good work from Insua after a dummy by Kuyt found Torres unmarked to volley into the roof of the net. Gerrard then killed the game off by lunging into a tackle just inside the 18 yard box and tripping Reo Coker. Oh the report also mentions Stevie G. but only cos he gave a way the pen for the third![]()
Strange though it seems - general text report states 'deserved victory at Anfield' but the ratings suggest otherwise 'The Mighty Reds'have four players rated 8 and three rated 7 - Villas' player scores were significanly lower
? Though Pepe did merit a '4' as did Lucas

... never mind its the result that counts!
