When STAR asked about this we were assured that it will never be cheaper to buy individual tickets than a season ticket - they keep track of the offers and they will not bring the cost of 23 games below an ST, and they are trying to give other benefits to ST holders but are very aware that cost is the first of their criteria.Irvinchangeyaname wrote:....now I remember why I didn't renew my season ticket.
How many times do they need to do this before I'm better off not getting a season ticket?
I was going to buy a Leicester ticket anyways so it's free, Shirley?Thaumagurist* wrote:Er, it's not exactly free. You still have to buy a ticket for the Leicester game.

No, because you can't get the Ipswich ticket for free without shelling out £24 for the Leicester ticket. It just simply means £12 for each ticket.Irvinchangeyaname wrote:I was going to buy a Leicester ticket anyways so it's free, Shirley?Thaumagurist* wrote:Er, it's not exactly free. I think a lot more people will be following suit next season.ayjaydee wrote:This sort of deal is one of the reasons I did not get a s/t this year.
I knew I would be away for a couple of games anyway and this allied with the potential of one or two bogof's throughout the year made for an easy decision.
Or as other people have said, you miss one or two, then they only have to do it one more time and you'd be better off not stumping up all the cash for your ST. To me that is the bigger issue, if you buy more than one ST then why bother in future finding a significant amount of cash up front when if you don't you can pick and choose your games, get offers and probably end up spending less.weybridgewanderer wrote: (517 - 425) /22.50 = 4 free games
If I have the prices right, then if you go to every game they would have to do it 5 times for you to be better off not buying a season ticket.

HSSC, I'm a supporter since 1979 and bought a half season ticket just before we went up. And like before, I've gone back to pay per game because I get to choose where I sit. Not all HST holders are plastics my friend.Harpers So Solid Crew wrote:i don't recall ST holders worrying about a seat when we made the Prem, i do recall the clamour for half St's in oct 2005, and the disgust that meant that loads of plastics and man u fans were buying them up.
