It's not new news that we have a 15k strong fan base of loyal supporters. Most know that already. It was there case before Coppell arrived, and now the clingers on have seemingly fcuked off, the 'real' supporters remain.

Also, a club in oiur position, having not won at home since January, and having sold literally everyone worth having and replacing them with kids and some reasonable players, I'm delighted the 15k are still there!!!

Yeah, 14,999 of those have no choice with the exception of you due to being sold Season Tickets without being made aware of the fact this club is cutting the cloth to such an extent they are looking forward to parachute payments from Championship to Div 1.

We must look on the bright side, in next seasons Division 1 (or old Division 2), we will have the best stadium of all the teams having taking our success and flushed it down the toilet and promoted the Great Goal Draught of 09 which is going to be worse then any Irish potatoe famine that either of the two deserters Hunty or Doyle have ever seen...

I've been to 3 home games, so there must be fairly decent size group of loyal fans like me who just can't get to every game. So I'd revise that up to closer to 17k hardcore.

We wouldn't be selling out regularly even if we were still in the prem. The novelty factor was what drove the sales in the first season and tha was already wearing off in the second.

Had we stayed up, I think we'd now be giving the whole south stand to away fans and would still only be getting 20,000 odd for most matches. I think gates have held up reasonably well this year, particularly given the total absence of any entertainment. Things need to improve dramatically by the end of the season or season ticket sales will fall off a cliff next time.

I chose to look on the brightside and not go to the Watford game. Instead I spent the weekend with me fluff in MK and got a great result myself. Petrol was cheaper than the ticket as well.

Also there has only been one Irish Potato Famine and that was in the 1700's, so it's unlikely that Hunt or Doyle would have seen it but, as it only killed a million or so and displaced a million more, it is an obvious target for mirth innit.
