Two USA 94 and England 96.

USA was fantastic. Before the games people sat around the grounds. People brought out barbeques, played little matches of footie and fans mingled. The stadiums were great and the atmosphere was amazing.

England 96 was also very fun but USA was much more of an adventure so I think I preferred that.

Highlight - Brazil Sweden Semi-final - 100,000 fans - sitting next to some mad Brazilians and Swedes. I think my dad was hitting on the Swedish ladies near us. Boiling hot though had to wear a cap and couldn't see very much as there was no roof. Was about 50 metres away from Romario when he did this:

I went to that. £90. I very nearly gave my ticket to a czech fan draped in a flag on the steps just before kick off. wish i had.

I was at Germany Russia at Old Trafford and Russia Czech Republic at Anfield - the second was fun as it was 3-3. Smicer scoring a cracker.

Also went to France Holland in the Q-F at Anfield. I remember at the time I really liked Djorkaeff and mainly because I thought he looked Lee Nogan!

I was there too, and went to three other local (to me) Euro 96 games. That was after:

1986 World Cup
1988 European Championship
1990 World Cup
1991/2/3 - European Cup Final
1991/3 - Cup Winnders Cup Final

Skipped Euro 92 so I could go to the GB rugby league tour in Australia. Was going to go to the 1994 World Cup until Graham Taylor did his thing. Overall though, I was very lucky to get some excellent years of watching England play.
