16 Nov 2009 15:17I dont think that ST holders do get that great a deal. Considering that they are prepared to part with a substantial amount of money in advance, it's not that much of a discount. I wonder how the club would react if NO-ONE renewed their STs and instead booked tickets on a game by game basis thus taking advantage of special offers? I just get the feeling that the club takes its supporters for granted.Silver Fox wrote:This is actually evidence of Reading not being a ripoff, they are offering discounted tickets.
If you feel you don't get the most out of buying a ST then don't buy one, nobody's forcing you to!
Yes, there are more important things in life than a football match, knowing this at the start of the season may affect your decision to buy a ST!

16 Nov 2009 15:58Agreed, though I hope someone at STAR is keeping a running total of these offers. I believe the club made an undertaking to you about the value of the ST not being greater than the sum of individual deals.Dirk Gently wrote:Once I've paid for the ST, something I decide to do (or not) moths before a ball is kicked, I'd rather that I watched a football match in a stadium which is fuller, with a better atmosphere.
I don't feel that someoen else getting an advantage means that i'm automatically getting a disadvantaged - in the same way that when I fly or go by train I'm well aware that most people on the plane/train paid different rates according to when they booked, but I don't get uset about it.

What price are you proposing to sell ST at ? What differential would you expect (and guarantee) between ST and match tickets ?

16 Nov 2009 22:18Then stop fricking whining. You pay for a cheaper ticket for EVERY game with the GUARANTEE of a specific seat. If you don't like the deal don't take it up. You know there will be deals offered for specific games throughout the season for non-STHs. There have been for years.Terminal Boardom wrote:Further evidence of rip-off Reading FC. No more STs for me!
And SF, occasionaly, there are things more important in life than a football match.
