They should switch the tie, tbh.....what if it still doesn't get played when the 3rd round starts?!Alan Partridge wrote:They should throw them out the cupAny professional club that can't maintain a playable pitch should be folded. Carlisle were under a flowing river but by the saturday got their game on.
BAsically what they have decided is...Stockport requested switching it to Torquay, the FA don't ideally want that, so they have set a date of next Tues for the match, which Stockport are trying to find another ground in Cheshire to play the game (most likely Macclesfield) if that can't happen for any reason they can again request to switch it to Plainmoor Final decision is being made Friday.TBM wrote:They should switch the tie, tbh.....what if it still doesn't get played when the 3rd round starts?!Alan Partridge wrote:They should throw them out the cupAny professional club that can't maintain a playable pitch should be folded. if had been played the next day it would have been ok, Stockport have had their last 3 games (2 v Torquay) called off due to the state of the field. Nobody would care if they went anyway.Harpers So Solid Crew wrote:seem to recall a game against Leicester that was was called off at the madstad, should we have been folded??
Indeed - and they've had their own troubles with the pitch recently too:Big Foot wrote:It's Sales Sharks' fault - they rent the ground out to Stockport.
