Only one liverpool fan, was sat in front of me and started mouthing off to the Reading fan next to him. Which then resulted in a mass "oxf*rd" chant and him getting kicked out.Sharpy wrote:Okay as expected there were so Liverpool fans in home ends on Saturday, that was a given. Most kept quiet etc but some i believe started off a cuffufle in y26 in the second half. I think there was only two of them, but it caused quiet abit of a stir.
There were 20 or so plod down in the tunnel and all of them just stood there doing oxf*rd all and watching the match on the screen...this left the stewards (it took them about 5 mins to come up) to deal with the situation.
What exactly are the police there for? Are they only paid to deal with visiting fans? i couldn't believe my eyes....
Spot on.Jerry St Clair wrote:There have to be clear lines of responsibility, and I suspect that the police will only intervene if they are requested to by stewards. That is absolutely right.
If there were only two Liverpool fans causing trouble, I'd expect the tangos to be more than capable of dealing with it.
The liverpool fan.Compo's Hat wrote:So who started the fight then? Couldn't see from the top of the stand over everyone else.
You must be about 3-4 seats from me then.FORSTERS_RIGHT_FOOT wrote:Only one liverpool fan, was sat in front of me and started mouthing off to the Reading fan next to him. I've seen people leave the hotel, presumably having been in there several hours, before the doormen got there, taking off their anonymous fleeces to reveal away shirts and scarves in their pockets.Barry the bird boggler wrote:a number in the home end were decked out in liverpool colours - so one has to wonder on the intelligence of stewards letting them into the home areas in the first place.
They deserve a shoeing just for wearing a fleece and replica kit.Gloria Gooner wrote:I've seen people leave the hotel, presumably having been in there several hours, before the doormen got there, taking off their anonymous fleeces to reveal away shirts and scarves in their pockets.Barry the bird boggler wrote:a number in the home end were decked out in liverpool colours - so one has to wonder on the intelligence of stewards letting them into the home areas in the first place.

Reading fans would never get away with that as their fleeces aren't anonymous.boycey wrote:They deserve a shoeing just for wearing a fleece and replica kit.Gloria Gooner wrote:I've seen people leave the hotel, presumably having been in there several hours, before the doormen got there, taking off their anonymous fleeces to reveal away shirts and scarves in their pockets.Barry the bird boggler wrote:a number in the home end were decked out in liverpool colours - so one has to wonder on the intelligence of stewards letting them into the home areas in the first place.
They weren't guests at the hotel.weybridgewanderer wrote:Gloria Gooner wrote:I've seen people leave the hotel, presumably having been in there several hours, before the doormen got there, taking off their anonymous fleeces to reveal away shirts and scarves in their pockets.Barry the bird boggler wrote:a number in the home end were decked out in liverpool colours - so one has to wonder on the intelligence of stewards letting them into the home areas in the first place.
away fans being allowed to stay at the hotel shocker
No not at all, as long as they apply the golden rule.....shut the f11ck up when your team scores.Hugo Boss wrote:Is it really that big a deal having away fans in the home end?? I don't get what all the fuss is about someone who has bought a ticket legitimately watching his team play another team??

Saw a group of them walk through my section, all with LFC hats on. All the steward did was tell them to turn them inside out.Barry the bird boggler wrote:a number in the home end were decked out in liverpool colours - so one has to wonder on the intelligence of stewards letting them into the home areas in the first place.
Because I was staying there and I saw them coming in. OK?weybridgewanderer wrote:Gloria Gooner wrote:They weren't guests at the hotel.weybridgewanderer wrote:

How can you possibly tell when you see someone leaving a hotel after several hours that they are not a guest?
