Monday 25th Jan: All Member Card holders

Crystal Palace kindly requests all visiting supporters be in their seats at least 45 minutes prior to kick off to avoid congestion.

Bit expensive for Palace i thought and i doubt i'm going to be in my seat itching for the game to start at 19:15 ahead of a 20:00 kick off thanks. But nevertheless i will be going.

Palace can request what they like, I can't see it happening.

This is one I have down to go to. Was hoping it might be a bit cheaper than a home game. Oh well. Less train fair I guess.

palace always request that, its not a requirement but it means with the few turnstyles and the shocking catering outlets they have you can't complain if you don't get in before kickoff

And the cramped confines of the concourse (is it really one) doesn't help matters. Expect any half time refreshment to run out early and queuing impossible. All good fun though.

Is it possible to rock up to the stadium and buy a ticket these days. I'll be in the UK/London next week and had this game down as one that I could make. My brother (in Leytonstone) was supposed to be sorting a ticket out for me but, being the useless prick he is, he hasn't so I need ticketing info.

I'll be in London on the 10th but I don't really want to have to trapse back to Reading to get a ticket if I can avoid it. I suppose, if I can text the info to my brother, he still has time to sort it out.

Almost certainly you'll be able to buy on the day - we won;t sell our allocation.

To be on the safe side why not email Palace for confirmation, or even email Reading and ask whether you can buy a ticket and have it available for collection at the Palace TO on the night ?

Shame if that's true. The enclosed block of wooden seats at the back has always been a de facto terrace, where the stewards have pretty much left everyone to stand, sing and have a jolly nice time.

I'd say Palace are just breaking their way into the top ten worst stewards for away crowds. No-one is getting close to toppling the top three of Middlesboro, Charlton and Forest.

Has he been in the away end recently? They're appalling.

Last year 6 of their tangoes surrounded a six-year old kid with learning difficulties and forcibly threw out his whole family because the kid had a flag on a stick!

There are countless other examples of OTT stewarding there - a large percentage of Charlton stewards are prison officers from Belmarsh earning a little extra at the football, and the techniques for dealing with inmates in a high-security prison don't translate well to football.
