Considering Vidic is back on Sunday and Evans has been better than Rio so far this season playing Rio last night in order to keep that banner up (what is it, 34 years now?) was a bit of a no brainer.Schards#2 wrote:Interesting insight into Man Utd priorities that they were prepared for him to miss two tricky league games in order for him to play last night.
More a reflection on Ferguson's arrogance in thinking that he'd get the ban overturned and it wouldn't matter that he'd played Ferdinand. If the offence had been the other way Ferguson would be supporting the ban, that's the measure of the man.TheMaraudingDog wrote:Considering Vidic is back on Sunday and Evans has been better than Rio so far this season playing Rio last night in order to keep that banner up (what is it, 34 years now?) was a bit of a no brainer.Schards#2 wrote:Interesting insight into Man Utd priorities that they were prepared for him to miss two tricky league games in order for him to play last night.
Expect United to play the kids in the final.

As things stand he is going to miss 4 league games, he could get an extended ban of 4 league games and the Cup Final. How are they going to benefit from that?No Fixed Abode wrote:He'll miss the Carling Cup final - but that's what they want, so he's available for an extra league game. Makes sense to me.
