Rookie Managers

I guess there's often a honeymoon period when a new manager takes his 1st job but BM's effectiveness has been pretty damned amazing and goes way beyond a normal honeymoon.

I know it's very subjective but can anyone think of other new managers who have been as / more effective than McDermott in the 1st few months after appointment?

I'm struggling to come up with anyone at the moment.

Didn't he pretty much do exactly what BM has done? some dodgy results as caretaker but got the job made some shrewd signings and got us from just above the drop zone to looking up at the playoffs.

The main point is 'looking up at the play-offs'

BMcD has us looking AT the play-offs from a (slightly) worse starting position.

But it's still early days for BMcD. Hold fire on the statue outside the MadStad for a little while longer yet.
