Two sides with lots of attacking skills and defences which make you look away. I suspect that, just like everyone else, the Germans will triple mark Messi, leaving space for the remaining Argentinian forwards to make hay. I also suspect that the German runners may be at times too elusive for the Argentinian midfield, exposing a mediocre defence.
Personally, I like Argentina's attitude in this tournament, they seem to be impervious to being over-run in defnece, and just want to score more and more goals. A bit like Brazil in 1970 really, but without the fabulous facial hair. Except for Veron. Similarly I can only admire Germany who have realised that most of a generation of players were average at best, slung most of them out and brought in younger, fitter, leaner, hungrier players. Hey, maybe if they can do it, so can....nah, it'll never happen.
So...I'd like Argentina to go through, but the reality is that I am hopeful that football will be the winner this afternoon.
