Highly unlikely that any offers will come in for Marriot. His injury issues are well known in the industry and he will only be available for 50% of matches over a season. Having him as first choice striker leaves you at risk of coming up short in terms of goals and therefore having a massive effect on your league position. As a back up option, then yes maybe someone would like him. But, he is going to want the sort of wage warranted by a first choice player. Our season was effectively bookended by Marriot fitness. Perhaps Patton and/or Evans could be decent but it’s still too early to know. To be fair, Wing playing deep is likely a result of the manager employing tactics which require Wing to play deep.
