Couple more

Striker racing for ball, goalkeeper comes out, striker gets to ball first, boots the ball into the crowd, collides with keeper, Penalty.

This is ridiculous.

Fouls on the keeper by strikers who dare to jump near them as they try to catch it.

Also, I think teams should have a penalty they can call on at any point during the game when playing at Old Trafford and Anfield.

players desperate to assist an oponent with cramp just to get applause from the crowd should be booked.

Doing that gay little run they all do when they have faked an injury and pretend to spend the first 10 steps running off a sore leg should result in a booking

Being called either 'Craig' or 'Bellamy' should be a yellow card offence, both names together and you are off.

Comfortably Numb too many to choose from:

salary cap
transfer cap
perhaps a %age of debt against your income as a club, to prevent debt getting out of hand
like the idea of a bonus point

Also players doing that "run that is actually slower than a walk" when subbed.

Bonus point for scoring >3 goals. Losing 4-3 would still get you a point, which is far more derserved from a spectators point of view than coasting out a dull 0-0.

Independent timekeeper like in the rugby, who stops the clock for genuine stoppages rather than some pansy playing for time. When 90 meausured played minutes are up, that's yer lot.

Problem is that when teams not in direct competition (i.e. one fighting for the top and one fighting against relegation met), they'd gift each other three goals each and then start playing competitively from 3-3.

Similar rule for 'Lee' or 'Bowyer'

Any fan to say the phrases 'lost the dressing room' or 'no plan b' to be immediately banned from entering any stadium in the country

You mean the way that teams gift each other 4 trys in Rugby before they start playing?

I'm not convinced a losing bonus point would work in football ie - lose by no more than 1 goal but you have to have scored - but the 3 or more point would work. Extend points for a win to 4, leave draw at 1.

Although rugby is slowly catching up (QV "bloodgate") the deviousness, corruption and sheer ability to abuse loopholes of people in football is way, way ahead of anyone in rugby.

As much as anything, the financial rewards are so much greater in football, so the motivation to abuse the rules is so much greater.

The thing is though - the paying public simply wouldn't put up with every game being 5-3 with 6 of the goals being "gifts" or such like so people would start to pay with their feet.It certainly wouldn't be accepted in rugby and I would hope not in football.

Get rid of the blatant cheating. Anyone caught diving or feigning injury should be humiliated publicy by some leather clad dominatrix who rips a new arsehole for the culprit by way of a 2 foot long strap-on without the use of KY jelly or other such lube!

As Corporal Jones would say, "They don't like it up 'em!"

So how would that stop Ashley Cole from diving or feigning injury?

Agreed with no overhead height. Not sure how Reading would cope though.

Probably not at the top of the list, but can I add allowing the use of towels to dry the ball before throw-ins?

yeah. agree with that. Though the commentators were making far too much of the delay. How often do you see a player standing with the ball waiting to make the throw for ages in games? Delap cleans and throws pretty much straight away. I don't think it meant significantly longer at throws.

It's not so much the delay - it's the use of extra equipment that's outside the game.

That's why I agreed with you. But it's not the complaint the commentators had.
