We certainly need a striker and/or an AM. We're very blunt without Marriott... though MOM finally scored.
But other than that, I don’t think we're missing much. It’s just fitting the pieces together and getting them working.
giving each player a heart and a spine would help as well

In 8 minutes this pathetic bunch of spineless duck fanciers managed to gift 2 goals and do away with the possibility of a bit of money.
And Wing is carrying a knock now.
What was it that Couhig said about the transfer window? Spectacular?
At least we’ll can all go and watch Slough in round 2 now.
Leam has no choice now but to read the riot act to the players saying that he won’t let them cost him his job like they cost Noel’s.

But many are on one or two year deals, or need a good loan to forge a professional career. They are playing for their future, and not doing a good job of it. What does the future hold for the likes of Jacob, Stickland and Kyerewaa if they don't perform for us?

Agree, the squad is absolutely dreadful. Not necessarily individually but as a whole with a shed load of similar players in similar positions, naff all options and nothing different.
I remember Pants Day which was aimed at the players in a similar situation where the anger was at the players, and it was effective. Long enough ago for a repeat?

I note tha Jacobson had been conspicuously quiet and hiding from the obvious problems that have stemmed from an inexperienced CEO and crap recruitment. Can only assume Jacobs is somehow related to him.
Really fear for the future under this management team

Shit happens. We've lost out on some money. It's not like we were in with a chance of winning the thing. Everyone gets turned over by a non-league team sometimes.
The beauty of football is as long as there's life in the club there's a better future out there eventually.

For the first 90 we weren’t bad at all. Would have been the most routine of cup wins. Carlisle barely threatened and we could have scored 3 or 4 more
Jacob actually had an excellent first half. Lane was good. Kelvin in and out but threatened. Jacob was playing very high and wide and Yiadom more in a back 3. In fact up to about 75 mins I’d say it was pretty positive - the only disappointments were Doyle and Kyeweraa who I can’t see LR sticking with at all
The subs really hurt us. Taking Kelvin off meant we lost any real physicality (WTF has signed all these ‘midget’ forwards?) and that killed us. Mom had some nice touches and linked with Kelvin but that all went with him going off
In terms of system Wing was much further forward and we were hammering in a series of decent crosses through Lane and Jacob and almost scored through a great header from Kelvin (I think). Kyeweraa didn’t put a single cross in, but did one nice cut back.
There were plenty of positive signs. It’s a huge shame we crumbled so embarrassingly. Stickland is just invisible and Stevens was awful. We just totally lost the plot
I think we’ll sign one if not two CFs in the window
