Palace were punished when Long teed up Kebe to haul Reading level, although substitute Easter chipped up and turned in a shot to put three points within reach of the home side. However, with 17 minutes remaining, Hunt met Jobi McAnuff's cross with a far-post header as both sides had to be satisfied with a point apiece.
