FANS' POST MATCH OPINION

How precious this point this will be come the and of the season who knows, but I guess most of us would have settled for four points out of Wolves at home and QPR away. Apart from the away point the only thing the loyal following of Reading fans came away with from Loftus road was pneumonia as it was so flipping cold! Mention must go to our mate Vinny who insists on wearing only a t shirt to games what ever the weather and must be close to being sectioned under the mental health act for such folly in conditions not out of place in the Arctic . This was the third consecutive game where I cannot recall a shot on goal or their keeper or having to make a save , which is worrying. Kebe is a waste of washing powder on his kit as he managed absolute bugger all while on the pitch. We huffed and puffed and somehow how passing game seems to have totally disappeared. Now is the time for Matejovsky to return as well as Bikey as these two do have different class and can win games. Big mention to Pearcy who again had a great game and did very well. Will Harper go or stay? I think he'll probably stay as he played yesterday and so should everyone for them with the position we find ourselves in the league. If we don't go up then they can go then if need be. With the exception of Brum away we've not played really well since Bristol City awayway back on Nov 1st, yet we're still second. The chasing pack are closing in and we really need to go on a run like we did in December to keep our auto promotion position, we have the players, we definitely have the manager, maybe we just need the belief and a bit of luck. With no game midweek we may slip back to third and then it's back to the Mad Stad next Saturday for a tough looking game against Preston who Swansea thrashed the other week, that's the level we have to be up to, just hope it's a bit warmer by then!!

QUOTES FROM THE PRESS

Reading slipped four points behind Championship leaders Wolves after a stalemate with QPR at Loftus Road. The home side should have taken the lead when lively winger Lee Cook swung in a cross from the left but Iceland striker Heidar Helguson headed wide. For Reading, French midfielder Kalifa Cisse's low drive was pushed around the post by QPR keeper Lee Camp... Reading manager Steve Coppell: "It was a difficult pitch for either side to play on. "All told I would say we edged it, but not by much. There was a terrific work-rate from both teams and it was a shame there wasn't goals in it somewhere."
