Just got in. What a great win! The 1st half was fairly even in terms of chances but I’d say we played the better football. There was a little bit of bite from both teams and I was pleased to see Aluko getting amongst it! Obviously the balance swung in our favour when McManaman get sent off in injury time. The goal certainly looked dodgy, but I was expecting the offside flag rather than the 2nd yellow. I couldn’t really see if it was deliberate. However, if it was then he was stupid after being deservedly booked earlier in the half. 2nd half we were in total control, shown by the two Liams passing the ball between each other inside… More →

Blitzed the 280 miles home in under 4 and a half hours. We played very well and Sunderland were pretty poor but a tidy side. I think they'll stay up with Coleman as manager. On to us, I don't think the sending off changed the game as we were the better side when it was 11 vs 11. MoM was between Barrow, Aluko and VdB. Kelly looks out of form

Was very happy with our play. I liked the 10 or so minutes of us passing it about on the halfway line at 1-0. It actually helped us quite a bit. Wound up the Sunderland players and pulled them out of position allowing us the freedom to add to the goal tally. Barrow now has scored roughly 25% of his total shots. Hes a bit of a legend. Keep up this form please.

Starting line up being unchanged for the 3rd consecutive game, was a major positive. Sunderland are without doubt a poor team. Shame the afternooon was marred by yet another defensive howler. Even when 3-0 nil up , The tempo needs to be maintained. Passing the ball on the half way line simply brought this on. As the team lost focus and concentration. Game against Cardiff will be a far better judge as to how good we really are. Though recent signs are promising. MOM Edwards. Quietly effective.
