After about 15 minutes the co-commentator said that he thought of Reading as a passing side but today they were playing very much long ball which was a bit of a surprisel-I felt like trying to contact him to tell him that he was wrong and that hoofball is the norm for us.
Regardless of what our style is, what I find unforgivable over these past two games is that we are making such a lame attempt to reach the play-offs and the effort has been poor.
Managers talk about nothing being left out there as a minimum requirement but our team leaves plenty out there.
I have said for weeks that we just aren't good enough to get promoted and, even if we fluked it, the changes just to stay up next season would have to be major.
The manager will no doubt stay in the job partly because the owner would want to save face but the jury is definitely out as to whether he is the right man to take us further.
He has been the right man to get us away from the spectre of relegation but who knows how he will fare next season.

As I reckon, give him the summer and autumn term….even Sir Steve hardly ignited us to start with, and we as a team including management, have survived another season.
1970s conspiracy theory coming up……….
“Reading are always the nearly-men deliberately when it comes to promotion, we couldn't afford it”
Next season, we start off on better footings.

When Richardson came in we had just lost one game in eight, away to Cardiff in a game where we were the better side. O’Connor and Marriot were just back and getting match fit. Performances were improving.
What Richardson needs now is for Paul Cook to come in for a couple of years to set everything up for him.
Again.

I’m no LR fan-boy, and as I said, he’ll have no excuses next season.
The managerial merry-go-round has really served us well hasn’t it?

Someone with a proven record of promotion would be good... oh. We've got one.
And judging by his post-match interview, he's happy to live off that one achievement (the other doesn't count IMO as he wasn't the manager).
His past achievement is proving to be about as useful to us as Will Keane's Golden Boot.
Assume that was at a car boot sale?

I do think a lot of our fans are bellends, the football is a frustrating watch but not getting behind the team at 0-0 is oxf*rd bizarre. Also think too many are a bit smug about being Leam out early just because they are now getting justification from more fans turning, I may be on the same side now but I still think they're bellends for being Leam Out while he was getting good results.

I can’t really understand the reasoning for going to a game and just being so angry and aggressive you want to start booing after 10 mins. Just seems to be the way nowadays. Pretty much puts me off going to away games when they used to be the best

Would have thought so, seems like a bollocks rumour someone has spread on Twitter.
Pictures of him and Derrick Williams on the train…
Really, had the coach broken down?
Would you care to post these pictures or provide a link to them on this thread?
This isn’t the 1950s any more, so sorry if I’m having difficulty believing that in the 21st century a supposed professional football club is starting to send its players to and from games via the rail service in this country, where all sorts of things could happen, esp. if a performance hasn’t been seen as up to standard by some :?

Here is Williams which took me ages to find, can’t be bothered to find the wing one as you can imagine there are hundreds of posts on the hashtag since yesterday game.

I guess they were on different trains? If not, the fact they are sat apart from each other is pretty damning in itself when it comes to team spirit.
Derrick Williams hasn't been accused of bad-mouthing our supporters so showing him on a train does little to verify the claims being made about Lewis Wing. I'm really beginning to suspect mischief-making when it comes to the latter.

Presume they must have had evening “do’s” each somewhere that made more sense for them to get to via train than have the coach do detours or for them to get back to Reading and drive on somewhere.
Or are there other underlying issues? :o

That's an LNER train which is Donny to Kings Cross on the east coast main line.....they are first class seats though.
