yeah we weren't great first half but we certainly were not battered. Kyerewaa had a great chance that he fluffed. much improved second half, made some great chances and could have done more. Subs actually changed things - Kelvin dropped off Marriott and was free to roam, wingers pushed very wide. Happy with a point.

I thought that cross wasn't really in his reach and he only just got a foot to it, but couldn’t control and certainly couldn't shoot first time. And the defender always looked like cutting it out from reaching Marriott. Assuming we're talking about the same one.

A fair few of us mentioned tweaking the formation to a 4-2-3-1 and fair play to Hunty for switching it up and it does seem to suit the players better and Doyle looked good as the No10 having that free role. I would like to see Elliot given the 10 spot ahead of Doyle purely as he is our player and the position could be his long term. Also thought Dorsett had an ok game at CB his preferred position especially as he is quicker than the other options. Overall a hard well earned point with slow positive progression. We are getting close to ten games now and the bottom half of the table is looking a bit more as predicted preseason. I…

One comment I still find tiresome is "we could have been 3-0 by" or "play like that every week and we'll lose consistently". This is our third season in L1; get used to the fact we don't have clinical opponents and we have lots of room for error in our performances.

Speaking of cliche fan comments, the amount of times I've seen "We're bound to give someone a battering soon" Based on what?

Nobody has mentioned our keeper who once again pulled off some great saves. He is so good at this level that our fans take for granted that he will make at least 3 outstanding saves every game to such an extent that he barely gets a mention. A very welcome point from a game that we managed to keep in despite Stockport making near all the running in the first half. Hunt stays in the job for a bit longer.
