Reading And Wimbledon Look For First Points Of The Season
Reading have lost 5 of the previous 7 matches between the sides and were beaten 2-3 on the road back in February in our last League One meeting. Jack Marriott was of course on the scoresheet that day after he scored in the first half to make it 1-1. A Dorsett goal in the second half pulled us level before the inevitable Wimbledon winner late on (does that sound familiar?). Dorsett has struggled so far this season but was named man of the match by fans that day.

When : Saturday August 22, 3pm Where : Cherry Red Records Stadium, Plough Lane, London, SW17 0NR Capacity : 9,215 Second game of the season and as pretty much usual Reading are still looking for their first point of the season after last week’s effort was wrecked by yet another second half from hell. This time last year Reading were in the same position only they’d lost the opening two league games and the Wombles were the visitors to Reading and as we know the jinx that is Wimbledon struck again and the club got gubbed by two to one. Wimbledon have so far brought in seven players; Ollie Harrison arrived on loan from Chelsea,… More →

I remember playing L Orient last season who went into the game with a grim recent record not dissimilar to what the wombles are suffering. Always lose in London so surely we can only see one result here.

Whoa, it’s our habit to break too (as much as their losing streak is)

Shit away record in London, bogey team etc., but man for man we're better than them. Throw off jinxes nice and early in the season. 2-0 win.

Lose this one and the mega meltdowns will start, especially as next weekend Reading will get 0 points for what would be the 3rd weekend in a row.

Two apperance milestones this weekend. Wing set for 150 games and JP 100. Both have been pretty underwhelming recently need big games from them. JP had an absolute shocker at wimbledon last season too. We need to start keep clean sheets. 8 Games since we had one in the league. Which funnily enough was our last win the 3-0 win against wigan back in March.
