Royals Get Plymouth In League Cup Draw

Reading have been drawn at home to League Two Plymouth Argyle in the first round of the 2016/2017 season's League Cup. The game is likely to take place at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday 9 August with a 8pm kick-off. Plymouth finished in the play-off positions at the end of the season but were beaten to promotion by AFC Wimbledon in the play-off final.

    Smart draw, it's at home too so probably get to see Tanner at last after we flog him to them next month. BTW, anyone got their head round this EFL acronym yet that's suddenly popping up everywhere and making you think you're not looking at the right sport let alone competition....

    The EPL - wazzat? - has been driving me bonkers since the Barclay's Premiership was formed as *everyone* in the Middle East simply refers to it by this godawful acronym. And now that cancer has reached the football league..... it makes me want to go and twat anyone and everyone who uses it.

    They can leave and join the League of Wales of they prefer. The Welsh teams joined the English league back in ye-olde days because there was no league in Wales.
